TRAKLOC
INTERNATIONAL HISTORY
The concept for the Trakloc system
came to the inventor Mr. William Andrews in Australia
while watching a building contractor on a large job
site installing partition walls. The observation of
the time involved in screwing, cutting and measuring
studs was extensive.
While other companies had proprietary
systems available, his research showed all had a down
side; they all had to locate the stud at a specific
point in the track, the system was to slow, required
special tools and skills, and were to awkward or too
costly. With all this being said Mr. Andrews, after
a great deal of deliberation and testing of different
shaped locking mechanisms came up with an initial
design that allowed the stud to be locked in at any
point along the track by a simple twist. Prototype
machinery was developed and production commenced,
many of the initial installations were an extension
of the testing and fine tuning process of all facets
of the product.
The product was used in all areas
of the building industry in Australia from commercial
high rises and garages, industrial complexes, apartments
to residential housing. At this point it was decided
to venture into the North American market.
In December 2000 a number of companies
and individuals in the US were contacted to asses
the level of interest in the technology. Over the
coming months negotiations were held with a selected
number of interested parties. In January 2002 an agreement
was established for the US territories with a California
based group, now known as Trakloc International, LLC
. At that point in time trading was commenced. Since
that time Trakloc International has continued both
the development of the product and equipment to the
high level it is today. |
